Dear Share Newport Beach Members,

As many of you are aware, we have been following and supporting candidates in the City Council race in Newport Beach. While nothing is set in stone, it looks like the candidates we have supported, Noah Blom and Brad Avery have a commanding lead over Jeff Herdman and Nancy Scarbrough (their respective opponents). With the overwhelming majority of votes counted, it currently stands at 58.43% for Noah Blom versus 41.57% for Jeff Herdman. And 59.78% for Brad Avery to 40.22% for Scarbrough.

Again, nothing is official yet but all indications are that Noah Blom will be our next City Council member and Brad Avery will remain on the Council as well. Noah Blom and Brad Avery have been supportive of common sense regulations and enforcement for Short Term Residential Rentals in the City and we are looking forward to working with both of them and the rest of the City Council to address the newly passed regulations and then work to pass regulations that strike the right balance between your property rights and eliminating any negative impact short term residential rentals may have on neighborhoods.

Thank you all for your continued support, rest assured that this will remain a top priority for us over the coming months and we will keep you updated along the way.

Sincerely,
The Share Newport Beach Team
